Days with Ella

I just wanted to post a series of photos I've taken of Ella in the past week!

Big eyes O_O

 Happy baby!

I love that cheeky smile, makes my heart melt.

Out like a light after listening and watching a kiddie show!

Ella also had a brief check up with her MCHN yesterday and she is growing right on track... 5kg and 58.5cm's long. A long way from her 2.5-2.8kg days when she was born! I still can't believe how tiny she was, and that she is all mine! She is just perfect.

A perfect weekend

Going forward into the weekend, Ella and I had a relaxing Friday afternoon. She sat in her bouncer listening to music and later on lay by the window in the sun. We took some snapshots... what a happy baby!

Saturday was the warmest it'd been in a while and since Marty had the weekend off we decided (after doing a few chores in and outside of the house) to head out to Williamstown beach for a bit of a walk and dinner. It was SO busy. We had completely forgotten how popular that place is!

Ella in the car on the way to Williamstown beach.

We ended up settling for fish and chips and taking it over to a park by the beach. It was nice, there were heaps of families with little bubbies out and about. Every other restaurant was just too busy and squishy for us to sit in with a baby and pram. It was definitely a learning curve! Williamstown beach restaurant - too small for babies in prams!

Sunday morning all three of us got ready again, this time to go visit my grandma, uncle. aunty and cousins in Gisborne.

Ella and daddy before heading out to lunch with extended family.

Ella meeting her great-grandma for the first time.

Ella and mumma. I was so tired here! By this stage I'd drank 3 coffees, lol.

And last but not least, daddy's wonderful photography of Ella!

All in all, we had a perfect weekend together as a family but I was definitely happy to get home at the end of the day, throw my feet up and relax. I even mentioned to mister that I was looking forward to it being Monday tomorrow so I could stay home and be a domestic goddess! (hehe)

A family of three!

Last night Marty, Ella and I went out to dinner for the first time as a family. We went to GrooveTrain at Westfield Plentyvalley. Everything went very smoothly... our orders were taken within 10 minutes of arriving. Drinks and meals followed shortly, approximately within another fifteen minutes. It hardly gave Ella a chance to cry! And made us very happy.

This is what my delicious meal of Garlic prawns with rice and salad looked like -

This was my first time eating prawns since Christmas 2010. They were delish, and the plate was cleaned up in no time! The garlic sauce over the prawns and rice was oh so yummy. I even managed to eat most of my salad (after sneaking in a few of Marty's hot chips!)
The centre was still open once we'd finished up at dinner so we popped in and did some quick shoe shopping.

All in all, Mister and I agreed it was one of the nicest (and most relaxing) nights we'd had out together in a long time...

Hi and welcome!

This blog will be about my journey through life and motherhood (obviously!) and all the other things I’m passionate about.

Also, feel free to take a peak at (or even follow) my Twitter account @tashsahmumma, I’m a bit of a social networking addict!

‘Til I write again,
